Bigan 3

ADF TIB has fulfilled the metal tie-in the first stage of the BIGAN 3 project at Invovyn in Antwerp.

The shutdown lasted 5 days for a total of 56 tie-in on lye, condensate, chlorine, seal water, steam and cooling water pipes. Welding was by 3132” (2946” prefab + 186” FW).

There were not only welding but also a lot of lifting/montage-work (+-20T off/building) mains (by DN1000 to DN500) and valves.

Working at lye and chlorine tie-in were carried out with heavy and difficult chemical PPE.
