ADF renovates HF 2 at ARCELOR MITTAL in Dunkirk

Arcelor Mittal Dunkirk placed in early 2015 a major order with the GROUPE ADF, for the refectie of blast furnace 2.

ADF got the part GUEULARD (mechanical load) and the primary gas washing, everything together for a amount of 15,000,000 €, which represents 1/5 of the entire investment.

The works were prepared by different teams from the ADF with each their specialty , led by the management from Belgium. The preparation took about 4 month and on 17/08/2015, they started with the effective halt. On the peak moment ADF deployed 180 people to a successful conclusion. Huge tonnages were mounted vertically, modules built for the gas washing consisting of 480 tonnes of steel and a cyclone of 20 m high and 6 m in diameter. ADF brought together many specialities, welders, mechanics, Boilermakers and also hydrauliekers brought the whole a good end.  The blast furnace is again in boot mode and ADF looks back with satisfaction on a super project where all employees have performed together 150,000 man hours.
